Below you will find a variety of different activities for you to complete over Easter. You can choose to complete them whenever you like over the two weeks. We would also like you to read your favourite book, spend time with your family, try and learn a new hobby, make someone smile and have some fun. Don't forget to rest and take breaks!
Writing
Imagine you are one of the animals who live in the forest. Your home has been cut down leaving you with nothing! How do you feel? Write a letter to the people who cut it down and try to get them to empathise with you.
DT
Time to become an architect! Your challenge is to design and annotate a brand new building which does NOT require the forest to be cut down. The building could be anything - a library, museum, school. How could you include the forest in your building? Check out this website for some cool inspiration.
Art
This book includes some wonderful art techniques such as fine line drawing and watercolour painting. Can you draw your own forest (or rainforest) picture including these skills? Try to include the animals too!
Fine lining video technique.
Watercolour video technique.
Geography
Research what sustainability is and write a short report or create a poster about why it is important.
Computing
Complete the coding activities from the project ‘Responsible Consumption and Production’ on Hour of Code. They promote the importance of looking after our environment!
Have a lovely Easter and don't forget to email us the piece of work you are most proud of!
Stay safe everyone.
