Moston Lane School is a Rights Respecting School (RRS) which means we are committed to putting the United Nation Convention on the Rights of the child (UNCRC) at the heart of everything we do within the school community. There are 54 articles in the rights of the child convention ( CRC ) .
As a school we promote children’s rights and empower children to become global citizens.
The CRC recognizes that all children around the world are entitled to these rights.
In our school community children are ‘Rights Holders’ and adults are ‘Duty Bearers’
Every team has a class charter like the one below. Children say how they will respect one another’s rights and adults say how they will help children to access their rights.

Why do we want to be a Rights Respecting School?
A rights respecting school means better relationships based on mutual respect; everyone is equal and everyone's opinion is valued.
