PSHE Campaigns

Rainbow heart

Throughout the year, we celebrate and promote lots of different PSHE campaigns. Below are some of the campaigns that we have celebrated this year at Moston Lane!

Key PSHE Dates 2019-20

Mental Health Awareness Week

We have recently celebrated ‘Mental Health Awareness Week’ (18th May-24th May 2020).

The theme this year was ‘Kindness’, focusing on being kind to ourselves and others.

Throughout the week, the children completed lots of kindness activities as part of their home learning. Take a look below at some pictures of the children’s amazing work:

Staff members also sent some lovely messages of kindness to our children and parents!

Messages of Kindness from us to you!

International Day of Happiness

International Day of Happiness virtual distance runs – Fort Carson ...

On Friday 20th March 2020, we celebrated ‘International Day of Happiness’.

It’s a day to be happy of course!

This year's theme was ‘Happier Together,’ focusing on what we have in common, rather than what divides us.

We celebrated this day by completing lots of fun activities to support the International Day of Happiness, focusing on what we could do to create a happier world. This day helped us to recognise the importance of happiness in the lives of people around the world. As we face this global crisis together, we thought it was important to find positive ways to look after ourselves and each other.

Everyone wants to be happy - and life is happier when we're together.

Odd Socks Day

To promote ‘Anti-Bullying Week’ we also held an ‘Odd Socks Day!’

Children and staff came to school wearing odd socks to raise awareness and celebrate that we are all unique and different! We had so much fun.

Take a look at some pictures below:

Anti-Bullying Week

In November, we celebrated ‘Anti-Bullying Week’. This year’s theme was: ‘Change Starts with Us’.

Whether it is verbal, physical, online or in-person, bullying has a significant impact on a child’s life well into adulthood. By making small, simple changes, we can break this cycle and create a safe environment for everyone. Because together, we can challenge bullying. Change starts with a conversation. It starts with checking in. It starts with work together.

Change starts here.
Change starts now.
Change starts with us!

To promote ‘Anti-Bullying Week,’ the Heads and Deputy children led their own assembly to both KS1 and KS2. They did an amazing job! Take a look at some pictures below:
