Statutory Information
In England, Relationships, Sex and and Health Education (RSHE) is a statutory curriculum subject. Schools are legally required to teach Relationships and Health Education in both primary and secondary schools.Through these subjects, we want to support our pupils to be happy, healthy and safe. We want to equip them for adult life and to make a positive contribution to society. These statutory requirements are embedded within our PSHE curriculum, through the Jigsaw PSHE scheme of work.
From September 2026, New statutory guidance for Relationships, Sex, and Health Education (RSHE) comes into full effect in all schools across England.
