We are going to use this film to help us learn about using adjectives in our writing.
To start you off use this BBC bitesize page to learn about adjectives and practise finding them.
This week we are looking at tens and ones and how to make numbers in different ways.
Complete lesson 1 on The National Oak Academy
Practise your phonics on BBC bitesize. Choose sounds you find tricky. When you have finished can you make a mind map with one of the tricky sounds in the middle and all the words you can think of that start with that sound around it.
Topic - Geography
In Geography we are learning about Continents and Oceans. Watch lesson one on The National Oak Academy about continents.
Today we are going to try and use adjectives in our own writing.
Watch this clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIGF-Fkxbk0. Write about something that makes you feel happy. Use adjectives to describe why it makes you feel happy. For example, the child in the clip might write:
‘Music makes me feel happy because it is exciting, loud and bouncy’
To follow on from yesterday, follow lesson 2 from The National Oak academy about identify tens and ones in a 2 digit number.
Today we would like you to choose a book from oxford owl to read. If possible it would be good to read the book to a grown up.
Practise sounding out the words you are not sure of. If they are a tricky word ask a grown up to help you.

After looking at adjectives, today we are going to look at expanded noun phrases. This is when we expand a simple sentence with adjectives. For example:
‘The heavy, pouring rain made me feel sad.’
