Romanian Comprehension Activity:
Read page 1 (English), page 2 (Romanian) and answer the questions on page 3 all about Spring (click on the document at the bottom of the page).

Use this pack to write about yourself. You can write in your home learning book or print the pages and fill them in. Do something from the pack each day.

Arabic Activities:
Take time to read through the Arabic and English All About Me learning pack (click on the document at the bottom of the page)

Use the pack to learn words in English. You can print and fill in the sheets or copy words and pictures into you Home Learning Book. Try to write some sentences in English using what you have learnt. Do something from the pack each day.

Phonics Activity:

Find the air words – click here

Reading Activity:
Today you are going to read contracted words and write them into sentences.
Remember a contracted word is a shortened word.
 

Examples of contracted words
Original two words Contraction / Contracted words
do not  = don’t
is not  = isn’t
he is = he’s
we are = we’re
I will = I’ll
you are = you’re
they are = they’re
we will = we’ll
cannot = can’t
did not = didn’t
has not = hasn’t
could not = couldn’t
it is = it’s

Play the next game to practise.
Read the sentence and click on the contracted word that completes the sentence.

Now write these sentences in your book changing the words in bold to a contracted word.

1. I am finishing my work today.
2. I do not want to do another jigsaw.
3. I will help you.
4. She did not like my picture.
5. There is not any flour left.
6. We cannot find it anywhere.
7. I could not go to the shops today.

Now write some sentences of your own using contracted words.
