‘Be The Best You Can Be’

Year 3

Welcome back to school everyone! We are delighted to have so many of you back, but also know that from time to time there will be some of you who will have to stay at home to keep everyone safe. For this reason, home learning will now be added for you on a weekly basis, so that if you have to be off you can still keep up with your classmates.

Lesson ideas and learning links will be all be uploaded for the week at the same time, then it is up to you how and when to work through them. There should be enough for you to do some reading and maths everyday, plus some writing and topic work to complete throughout the week.

Week beginning 21st September 2020

 

Reading tasks

1) Choose a book on Oxford Owl and then choose a task to complete from this reading journal.

2) Choose a book on Oxford Owl and complete this character study.

2) Read this text and answer the questions. There are 20 questions, so answer 10 questions on one day and the other 10 on another.

 

Maths tasks

1) Go to the White Rose Home Learning website and watch one video per day. Complete the tasks during the lesson.

2) Go to the Oak Academy Website and complete lessons 1-3.

3) Play this place value game.

1) Watch this lesson to find out what a setting is.

Today is the last day of Year 3 for you all. It does feel strange that we are not in school to say goodbye to each other. This isn't the way any of us expected our school year would end!

 

You have all worked so hard – WELL DONE! We have had lots of fun this year and you have made us so proud. Thank you all for continuing to work hard on your Home Learning activities, you have impressed us every week. Thank you to all of the helpers who have supported you at home as well as juggling their own work commitments. You have made the most of a difficult time and we could not have done this with you and your grown ups’ dedication, enthusiasm and encouragement. We hope you enjoy your well-earned Summer Holiday!

 

Remember to stay safe, keep shining and believing in your abilities.
