Last week we started to think about what we wanted our spaceships to look like. This week we would like you to design your spaceship. Draw it carefully thinking about each section. Look at the examples below to help you. Then label your drawing and write a sentence about your spaceship.

Science - materials - experiment!

Today we are going to carry out an experiment using materials. We need you to find some cardboard, plastic and a piece of fabric. We want you to answer the question:

'Which material is strong and waterproof?'

Start by pulling each material with your hands. Do any of them break?

Now soak each one in water for a few minutes. Pull each one again. Do they break more easily now? Have they soaked the water up? speak to your grown up about which material is the strongest and which one is the most waterproof. Write a sentence to explain your findings.
