Quel temps fait-il? - What's the weather like?
We've been lucky to have some lovely weather recently, so I thought weather phrases would be a good topic for our challenge this week!
Watch the following video to learn some weather phrases in French: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8iBwQUvY-E
Once you think you know them, choose from the following tasks. You can do as many as you like!
Bronze: Look outside and tell me what the weather is like today in French. Video yourself and send it to me!
Silver: Play charades! Choose some clothes to represent what you would wear in different weather conditions. For example, you might wear some sunglasses for 'Il fait du soleil' or a scarf for 'Il fait froid'. Play with a partner and get them to guess which weather phrase you're trying to show. Video yourself playing the game and send it to me!
Gold: Do your own mini weather forecast! Draw a map of the UK and label some major cities (London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Cardiff). Now pretend you're on TV and tell me what the weather is like in different parts of the country! For example, 'A Manchester, il fait du vent - in Manchester it's windy'. Video yourself and send it to me! Bonne chance!
French Stars of the Week: A massive well done to both Jaidon and Khai in Team 10 for their fantastic French work this week! It made my day when I received your videos, and I loved your weather picture Jaidon. I would also like to make a special mention for Nelson in Team 7 who wrote a brilliant sentence about his favourite animal. Keep up the good work!
