Healthy Pizzas
This half term, we have been looking at our bodies and how we can look after them. We tasted lots of different food and used our senses to choose our toppings. We looked at how to be safe and hygienic in the kitchen and prepped the classroom so we could make our pizzas. We practised lots of new skills including chopping, cutting and spreading. Our pizzas were delicious and we had so much fun making them!
British Science Week
For British Science Week, we planted our own bean seeds. We talked about what a plant needs in order to grow healthily and why it is important that we look after plants. Once we had planted our seeds, we drew an invention that we could use to protect our plants. After talking to a scientist about the importance of recycling, we thought it was important for our inventions to be made out of recycled materials.
Places of Worship
For our R.E. topic this half term, we have been looking at different places of worship. We looked at some religious artefacts from different religions and discussed why they are important. We also looked at different religious symbols, where we might find them and what they mean.
