- Mini Tennis Tournament
A massive well done to the four Year 4 children who represented Moston Lane in a mini tennis tournament at Our Lady’s High School on Tuesday 15th November. They finished an amazing 3rd out of five schools competing!
- Cross Country Report
On Tuesday 8th November, the Moston Lane Cross Country team attended the Citywide running finals at Phillips Park. Moston Lane are very proud of all members of the squad, well done!
- Tag Rugby Achievements
The Moston Lane Rugby team have recently participated in 2 high quality tag rugby qualification tournaments with terrific results. An outstanding achievement culminating in qualification to the Manchester citywide finals.
- Moston Lane has been awarded ‘Outstanding Commitment to PE and Sport 2016'
Moston Lane attended the annual Manchester PE Conference on Thursday 20th October. We were delighted to be one of five primary schools in Manchester to be awarded a trophy for ‘Outstanding Commitment to PE and Sport 2016’.
- Wear Red Day
On Friday 21st October we will be supporting the “Show Racism the Red Card” campaign. Children can bring £1 to school and wear red clothing to raise money for this fantastic charity!
- Year 5 and Year 6 Level 2 Cross Country Stars
A terrific effort by all the children involved, culminated in the qualification into the Citywide Manchester Finals over a three week period! The highlight came from Year 5 pupil Jada, who won her race each time!
- HOME READING CHALLENGE - Thank you to all parents/carers for your reading support!
Reading tip: Children who read widely and often, get better at it. Practice makes perfect in almost everything we do and reading is no different. The more we read at home and at school, the better we will be.
- Our Moston Lane Rights Ambassadors for 2016/2017
Each candidate gave a speech written by themselves and then were elected by their peers! Our Rights Ambassadors are; Class 7 - Jimmy, Class 8 - Philip, Class 9 - Abbie, Class 10 - Ellie, Class 11 - Ellie and Class 12 - Jada.
- Gate Closure
Due to ongoing school work, from next Tuesday 20th September the Ashley Lane entrance to school will be CLOSED for approximately 10 weeks.
- Parents Evening
Date for your diary… Parents’ Evening will be on Thursday 20th October. Letters will be sent home closer to the date.
